Case Study

One of New Zealand’s largest animal feed companies, NZ Agbiz, worked with PRO-MEASURES™ to create a one-of-a-kind plastic measuring scoop to include in bags of product. We helped them design and refine the unique scoop to suit their specific requirements. The scoop included the NZ Agbiz logo, gram volumes and is moulded in a custom tinted colour. NZ Agbiz found us online in April and we supplied the completed product line in June.

What does the Pro-Mould service do

Pro-Mould is our custom tooling service for designing and manufacturing a measuring tool built for your product. We can work from an existing product, modify one to suit you, or develop an entirely new design, then take it from concept to full production in New Zealand.

 

How fast can we get a prototype?

With 3D printing, we can turn a design into a full-scale prototype in as little as 48 hours, so you can see and test the product before committing to tooling. Minimum runs are far lower than they used to be, which makes many custom projects viable that were not before.

 

Can the custom product include our branding?

es. Custom tooling can build your logo, colours and company details into the product, and increments can be calibrated to your specific product. The result is a measuring tool that is both unique to you and an extension of your brand.

Yes. Pro-Mould designs and manufactures bespoke measuring tools to suit your product and packaging. For example, we worked with NZ Agbiz to design a one-of-a-kind measuring scoop, in a custom tint with their logo and gram volumes, to include in bags of animal feed.

Do you only make measuring products?

Yes. Pro-Mould specialises in custom plastic measuring tools: scoops, jugs, cups and cylinders designed for your product. We are not a general injection moulder, which means the tooling and the design advice you get are focused specifically on accurate, brandable measures.

It depends on the product, but the process moves quickly. With NZ Agbiz, who found us online, we went from first enquiry to a completed product line within about two months, and a 3D prototype can be ready in as little as 48 hours.

What is the minimum run for a custom product?

Minimum runs are far lower than they once were, which makes many custom projects worthwhile that previously were not. The right minimum depends on the product and tooling, so we work this out with you when you enquire.
